Entrance exam training centres opened

These smart classrooms, which will be connected through V-SAT Technology, will help students to interact live with the trainers. The government has signed an MoU with Speed Medical Institute through which students can interact live with the trainers. 

The Chief Minister in his address said that various steps have been taken by the government to improve education standards, including changing the curriculum. He also pointed that to make students face competitive exam MoU was signed between education department and speed academy and that 3,000 students have applied for admissions in 412 training centres all over Tamil Nadu. Classes would be held on Saturdays and Sundays between 9 am and 4pm.

Assuring that the knowledge imparted through these centres would of best standards and students would not have to attend any private training. 

Speaking on the occasion, the school education minister said that the key focus of the coaching would be prepare students to any entrance exam. He also pointed that no other state has introduced the concept of smart classes for entrance examinations.

Speed Coaching centres have designed a new model for the training of government schools. “This training as of now is available for government and government-aided schools. The classes will be conducted between 9 am and 5 pm on weekends. Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Mathematics would be covered as part of this initiative,” said Dr K Vinayak Senthil, Managing Director of Speed Medical centre. 

Some of the centres inaugurated on Monday, include Puthanatham, Edapadi, Vandavasi, Mannargudi, Omandur, Namakkal and Dindigul. 

Explaining the functioning of the new initiative, Dr Vinayak said, “Around 150 trainers will part of the team. We will have interactive videos in which experts will explain the concept in Tamil. There will also be live interaction sessions to facilitate students clear all their doubts. This apart we have created an extensive bank with 54,000 sample questions. Students will also be given assignments for the week and a 30-day crash course will be conducted before the exam.”

The question bank would be divided chapter-wise. There would be 30 such question banks which would be released in phases. Around 500 questions would be discussed in the first question bank, he added.
