3 AIADMK allies’ MLAs meet M Karunanidhi

DMK sources, who were privy to the meeting, said the MLAs were introduced to Karunanidhi by their constituencies. Karunanidhi responded by smiling at them and waved his hands at them. Emerging out of the meeting, the MLAs said they were glad to meet the DMK patriarch. 

The three MLAs, who won in AIADMK’s “Two Leaves” symbol, had earlier met and thanked DMK working president MK Stalin for expressing solidarity on the issue of releasing Rajiv murder case convict A G Perarivalan on parole. 

The trio, who are considered fence sitters ever since the AIADMK split, have been keeping their options open by warming up to both the DMK and the AIADMK. Of the three, Karunaas in particular is known for his close association with AIADMK (Amma) faction leaders.
