Police sources said that the judge’s blood pressure had shot up and it became normal after treatment.
The one-man commission has issued summons to 33 persons in Coimbatore to appear for an inquiry. Earlier, Rajeswaran said that police should not influence the witnesses and the public should adduce their views to the commission.
A report will be submitted to the government soon after the inquiry on the circumstances that led to the disturbance of law and order during jallikattu protests on January 23 this year.
The commission would also ascertain whether there were any excesses on the part of police officers, and if so, would suggest disciplinary action. Damage to public property during the last phase of the agitation will also be investigated. After finishing inquiries at Coimbatore, the one-man commission proposes to visit Madurai for the second round.
