Buzz after Stalin-Vaiko meet in Kovai

DMK leader MK Stalin had a chat with MDMK General Secretary Vaiko at the Coimbatore airport on Thursday, triggering speculations of a political realignment in Tamil Nadu.

However, Vaiko dismissed the rumours, claiming that nothing political was discussed in the meeting. “We interacted to maintain a political etiquette and nothing related to politics, including the upcoming RK Nagar bypoll was discussed,” he said.

Stalin, who came to Coimbatore, was heading to Chennai, while Vaiko had arrived just then. Vaiko told media that AIADMK has joined hands with BJP in centre to betray people of Tamil Nadu.
