Arcot Panchangam predicted Kanniyakumari disaster

‘Arcot’ Panchangam, penned by KN Narayanamoorthy,which had earlier predicted the demonetisation, had also predicted the devastation at Kanniyakumari caused by Cyclone Ockhi. The panchangam had also predicted the next low pressure formed near Andaman and Nicobar Island, stating that the system would turn into a cyclone and inflict maximum damage in Cuddalore and Rameswaram.

The ‘Arcot Panchangam’ is one of the most trusted Panchangams in Tamil and had predicted several catastrophes in the past.

The predictions are made after a careful study, said Udayakumar, a renowned astrologist and a senior priest at Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram. Speaking to DTNext, he said every prediction is based on the movement of planets.

He further said that the spread of dengue and other deadly diseases has been predicted based on the movement of Rahu and Kethu. Even eclipses play a major role in prediction of events, said Udayakumar.
