Two held for usurping land with fake documents
Two persons were arrested on charges of usurping land worth Rs 20 crore with fake documents at Tiruverumbur near here on Thursday.

It is said, Ganesamurthy (57) of Kattur near Pappakurichi in Tiruverumbur has a 1.5 acre land in Akaram village. It is said, from the land, a plot of 80 cents worth Rs 20 crore was sold by Ganesamurthy’s brother Natesamurthy (54) in 2014 with fake documents.
Ganesamurthy who came to know about this recently, lodged a complaint with the SP Subash Kalyan in November. The SP forwarded the complaint to DSP Saminathan who conducted an investigation and found that the complaint was genuine. Police found that the petitioner’s brother Natesamurthy along with Senbagaraj of Kattur, Muthukaruppa Chettiar, a realtor of Tiruverumbur, Sheik Mujipur Rahman, Maria Anandaraj, Manikandan and Srinivasan had usurped the land using fake documents.
