A resolution on 2G spectrum case said, “Some oppressing forces vehemently tried to taint the DMK on the ground of 2G spectrum allocation case, however, justice prevailed. It is a mere imaginary loss. But, all of them have vanished in the thin air now.” Another resolution praised former telecom minister A Raja and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi for courageously facing the case.
“It is a clear indication that some oppressive forces intentionally made Raja land in trouble in the telecom sector by showing an imaginary account of Rs 1.76 lakh crore loss to the exchequer. However, truth ultimately triumphed,” read a resolution. The committee members held a discussion over the DMK’s defeat in RK Nagar bypoll. “The DMK already set up a probe committee to look into the reasons for DMK’s rout in the by-election. Action would be taken against those DMK cadres, who did not do poll duties in a proper manner,” stated another resolution.
The DMK also demanded the Centre to allot Rs 13,520 crore as relief for Cyclone Ochki hit fishermen.
Meanwhile, commenting on the passing of Triple Talaq Bill, Stalin said that it was hastily rushed through the Lok Sabha and so it needed to be sent to Parliament’s Select Committee.
