Let Rajinikanth come and save the state, quips Anbumani
PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss has said with sarcasm, it is better that Rajinikanth enters politics at the earliest as the state is in an ICU and more people are required to save it. He was replying to a query at Madurai airport on Saturday and later clarified that the PMK never changed its stand on the actor’s entry and asked him to stay away from politics.

Launching a scathing attack on the Election Commission at the year end general body meeting of the party here, Anbumani called the panel impotent, as it failed to curb money distribution to voters during the RK Nagar bypoll.
PMK founder S Ramadoss, leaders GK Mani, former union minister AK Moorthy and others participated.
Claiming that the PMK had fought hard for the people in the last 27 years, Anbumani said that in the year 2017, PMK staged the maximum number of protests for a ban on liquor and on farmers’ issues.
“As the youth have started looking up to the PMK, the party will become the single largest entity and come to power as an alternative to the corrupt Dravidian parties,” he said. He demanded the EC to act tough like former CEC TN Seshan and cancel elections if money was distributed. If the panel cancels four such polls, the political parties will hesitate to bribe in fear of cancellation, he noted.
