AIADMK’s first victory was in Dindigul: CM

After former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran formed ADMK in 1972, the first victory for

the party came in 1973 in the bypoll for Dindigul Parliamentary Constituency, said Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami in Dindigul on Sunday. Delivering his speech at the MGR centenary celebrations at Dindigul, Palaniswami said that Dindigul district occupies a special place in AIADMK’s history as the district was formed during the reign of MGR. He also listed out the important places and historical personalities in the district. He also praised MGR saying that like the characters he donned in his movies, he lived a very simple life.
