Revenue officials protest against abusive Ramanathapuram ADSP

The officials said that during the Arudra Darisanam in Uthirakosamangai in Ramanathapuram district, on January 1, Keezhakarai tahsildar Ganesan was involved in streamlining the crowd. At that time, Velladurai had abused and harassed Ganesan using filthy words. He said that the ADSP had even tried to attack him.

“The act of Velladurai is highly condemnable and insulting. The tahsildar is also a sub-Judicial officer and he should have been treated with respect. Instead, the ADSP had insulted him in public. Condemning the incident, a complaint was filed against the ADSP. But no action was taken even after two days.

So, the revenue officials decided to intensify their protests against the ADSP.

In the afternoon, they shouted slogans against the police department. However, as no higher official had called them for talks, they continued their protests in the evening.

They also said that a district level meeting would be conducted soon and the course of further protest would be discussed.
