According to Veeramanikkam Siva, state secretary of HMK-TN, Kanimozhi while speaking at the atheists’ conference in Tiruchy asked why Tirupati Lord needs protection when he is considered powerful. He said that such comments have hurt the sentiments of 150 crore Hindus.
“Politicians often come up with such attacks to divert the attention of people from the charges and accusations against them,” he said. HMK wanted Kanimozhi to be arrested under NSA for causing disturbance to communal harmony.
