Mata to visit Vellore

A total of 200 villages in both Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts will be adopted by the math for their progress and development, Kamalanathan and P Prabhakar said.

The Governor will hand over welfare assistance to various beneficiaries on the occasion.

The function is scheduled to take place at Sunbeam School in Vellore and it will start around 6.30 pm. Bhajans, meditation and sathsangh programmes will be held and Mata Amirtanandamayi will offer darshan and blessings to the devotees from 10 pm onwards on Sunday till Monday morning, they added.

Free bus and van services to the venue and other arrangements to enable the devotees to participate in the function have been made, the organisers said.

The math also has plans to start a CBSE school at Nandiyalam near Rathnagiri, 12 km from Vellore on the Chennai National Highway, where students would be provided free education, the organisers said.
