Abductors get Rs 50 Lakh ransom, free trustee
Vaniyambadi police have formed a special team and started searches in neighbouring Krishnagiri district following the trustee of a private matriculation school being kidnapped and released on a payment of Rs 50 lakh ransom on Saturday.

Senthilkumar (43), a resident of Teachers colony in Vaniyambadi has been running a matriculation school in the town for the last 20 years. He used to join his friends in the New Town area daily for doing exercise. On Friday when he was on his way, a vehicle stopped near him and he was manhandled and then pulled into the vehicle.
The gang then contacted Senthilkumar’s brother Udayshankar and asked for a ransom Rs 50 lakh to free Senthilkumar and fixed a spot in Krishnagiri, to exchange money. An agitated Udayashankar immediately arranged for the amount and took it to
Krishnagiri, where he handed over the money and Senthilkumar was released. The brothers immediately contacted the police, who immediately formed a special team and rushed to both Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri to check vehicles at all check points.
