Rajinikanth names party office-bearers for Vellore, Chennai to follow soon

In a statement released by the All India Rajinikanth Fans Association, VM Sudhakar, the administrator of the association, thanked all the members of the organisation for their active participation, inputs and suggestions given during the consultative meeting held with the representatives of the headquarters on Friday.

After consultation with the representatives, Rajinikanth appointed the following office- bearers in Vellore: Sholinghur N Ravi as the District Secretary; R Needhi (A) Arunachalam as District Joint Secretary; Vaniyambadi G Ganapathy, Poigai P Rajan Babu and Mohammad S Kalifa as District Deputy Secretaries; C Sangeetha as the Women’s Wing Secretary and P Arun as the Youth Wing Secretary.

The statement added that Rajinikanth has concurred to hold internal elections to democratically elect committee members and office-bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram at all levels from wards in villages to district level at a later date.

A source from Rajinkanth’s camp informed this newspaper that every week henceforth, the office-bearers from different districts would be announced – including Chennai, eventually.

Meanwhile, fans of the Superstar in Tiruchy also launched the Rajini Makkal Magalir Mandram on Sunday, a women’s wing of the party, with the hope that the actor-turned- politician would actively support welfare schemes for women in his upcoming campaign.
