DMK working president and Leader of Opposition (LoP) MK Stalin hit out at the state government for stopping rescue operation in Kanniyakumari and Cuddalore districts, which were battered by Cyclone Ockhi.
Addressing the media after participating in a wedding function in Cuddalore on Friday, he said, “The government has been unable to find out the number of missing fishermen and its shows it inefficiency. Similarly, Cyclone Ockhi had hit Cuddalore district too hard and a total of 19 fishermen were reported missing.” However, no minister or officials visited the families of victims so far, he added.
