Two students of same school attempt suicide

Both the kids are at present undergoing treatment at hospital. Vaniyambadi police are investigating the reasons that forced them to resort to the  extreme step. In the first case, a 17-year old boy consumed poison which he had brought to school even as the class was going on. 

On seeing the boy frothing from the mouth, school officials immediately rushed him to the Vaniyambadi government hospital, from where he was shifted to the Krishnagiri district headquarters hospital for advanced treatment. 

Similarly, a girl student of the same school, who was reportedly scolded by her parents over some domestic issue, also consumed poison at her house on Tuesday evening. Her parents immediately rushed her to Vaniyambadi GH, from where she was taken to a private hospital in Vellore. 

The recent spate of suicides and attacks on teachers have caused concern among district education officials. 

Among the recent cases, the most shocking were the suicide of four plus two students of the government higher secondary school at Panapakkam, who jumped into a well in December last, and the stabbing of the headmaster of government school by a plus one student at Tirupattur on Monday. Babu, the headmaster, is still fighting for life at the hospital.
