Police said M Ganesan, native of Usilampatti in Madurai district was found murdered brutally on Sunday (March 4). Police suspected that Ganesan could have been murdered by his co-worker, Anand (30), who had been missing for the past two days.
Ganesan was working as a cone winding operator at a dyeing unit at Avarangadu in Tirupur for the last four years. He was sharing an accommodation with Anand from Usilampatti in Madurai district.
“As the duo failed to turn up for work, other workers went to look out for them. They were shocked to find a blood-stained boulder on the terrace of the building. Immediately, they alerted the dyeing unit owner, who came and checked the footage from the CCTV fixed at the spot,” police said.
The footage showed both the workers going to the terrace, however a little later, Anand alone coming down. On information, Anuperpalayam police recovered the Ganesan’s body and sent it for post mortem. Police suspect the role of Anand as he had gone missing after the murder.
