The commission stated that 70 per cent of the information that has been published about the affidavit was false. It categorically denied that details about meetings between Jayalalithaa and O Panneerselvam, Vijay Bhaskar and Nilofar Kafeel were part of the affidavit filed by Sasikala. It also refuted the alleged claim in the affidavit which stated that Jayalalithaa had been treated by close to 20 doctors.

The commission said that it suspects that such information was leaked by members of the Sasikala camp to present her in a favourable light.

The affidavit in question contains 55 pages and was filed before the commission on March 12. The earlier reports claimed that it detailed the events leading up to the hospitalisation of Jayalalithaa and what transpired during her stay in Apollo. It said that Jayalalithaa took ill on the night of September 22, 2016 in her bathroom and fainted while being laid to rest on her bed.

Dr Sivakumar had attended to her before calling ambulances which rushed her to Apollo hospitals.

The affidavit also allegedly listed the names of five officials who met Jayalalithaa on September 27, 2016, regarding the Cauvery water sharing dispute which was again refuted by the commission.
