Give Minister bath in Cauvery: MNM’s Sripriya hits back at ‘buffalo bath’ jibe
While Makkal Neethi Maiyan (MNM) leader Kamal Hassan has been avoiding tongue-in-cheek retorts against him by other politicians, a core member of the MNM, actor Sripriya, has demonstrated that there is no dearth for such talent in the latest entrant to Tamil Nadu political fraternity.

Sripriya, on Saturday, took to Twitter to lash out at the State Cooperation Minister Sellur K Raju who had reportedly said that if giving buffalo a shower in Vaigai River would draw crowd, it is not surprising that people turned up for a public meeting of an actor, apparently, referring to the recent rally Kamal had there.
Reacting to the ministers’ jibe, Sripriya tweeted; “Perhaps, honourable Raju’s party men should give him a shower in a parched Cauvery. It will draw crowd. He might also get some clarity.” The yesteryear actor’s tweet glared alongside her bio, which read; “Pollangu enbavai ellam thavir (Avoid badmouthing people)”
Without wasting any time, twitteratti following @ ikamalhaasan and @sripriya took it to even lower levels, ridiculing not just the thermocol-fame minister but also his political masters, both living and dead.
Minister Raju had earlier earned a reputation among netizens for several of his out of the world suggestions, including an attempt to prevent evaporation of water from the Vaigai Dam by covering the water storage with thermocol sheets, which made him an instant social media celebrity for all the wrong reasons.
