Tone down attacks, says Rajini’s team

Rajinikanth was criticised by the political and film fraternity for his silence on a host of issues. The most scathing attack came from a collective of directors. While he was condemned for not being vocal about the protests on the delay in forming the Cauvery Management Board, he was also slammed for his tweet that called out those who attacked policemen during anti-IPL protests here. 

A statement by the mandram said the issue of Cauvery has been around for decades and was a matter that should be solved by the states involved, including TN, Karnataka, and Kerala. The expectation that Rajinikanth could intervene and solve the issue was misguided.
