Where are people from TN travelling to this summer?

Our research has revealed that Tamil Nadu’s consumers are intrepid travellers who are keen to explore the world. While USA, Europe, Australia, Egypt, Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi feature as favourites, strongly emerging destinations include Japan, Bali, Hong Kong-Macau, Hungary-Czech Republic and Scandinavia. Cruise Holidays also see a strong uptake.

Are there any noticeable trends?

It is noteworthy that that the new-age travellers seek for immersive travel experiences. Popular activities are glamping, volunteerism, self-driving, adventure & outdoor experiences like white water rafting, scuba diving; adrenalin highs of Sky diving/bungee jumping/zorbing are seeing huge demand from travellers this season.

How does TN fare in terms of summer travel?

Tamil Nadu currently contributes 10 per cent to our overall Thomas Cook business and given the strong annual growth and high potential, we have identified the state as a key strategic focus for our company. To cater to our loyal and growing Tamil customer segment, we created unique regional tours that offer a regional touch while on an international holiday and this has been inspiring impressive uptake with a growth of 44 per cent per year.
