Several express trains diverted due to Railway work
Several express trains operated to and from places in North India would be diverted here due to the major engineering works undertaken at the Arakkonam yard.

Chennai
Train No 11027 Mumbai CSMT – Chennai Central Mail will be diverted Renigunta and Gudur and hence skip stop-pages at Puttur, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Thiruvallur and Perambur on May 4.
Train No 17652 Kacheguda – Chengalpattu Express will be diverted via Renigunta, Gudur and Chennai Egmore and skip stoppages at Puttur, Ekambarakuppam, Tiruttani, Arakkonam and Perambur on May 5.
Train No 12164 Chennai Egmore – Dadar Express scheduled to leave Chennai Egmore will be diverted via Chennai Beach, Gudur and Renigunta on May 6.
Train No 12510 Guwahati – Bengaluru Cantonment Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on April 30 and May 1 will be diverted to via Gudur, Renigunta, Melpakkam and Jolarpettai.
Train No 12516 Silchar – Thiruvananthapuram Express scheduled to leave Silchar on May 2 will be diverted via Gudur, Renigunta, Melpakkam and Jolarpettai.
Train No 12602 Mangalore – Chennai Central Mail, scheduled to leave Mangalore on May 5 will be diverted via Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli and Chennai Egmore.
Train No 12624 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central Mail, scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram on May 5 will be diverted via Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram and Chennai Egmore.
Train No 12658 Bengaluru – Chennai Central Mail, scheduled to leave Bengaluru on May 5 will be diverted via Jolar-pettai, Katpadi, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram and Chennai Egmore.
Train No 12672 Mettupalayam – Chennai Central Nilagiri Express, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam on May 5 will be diverted to run via Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli and Chennai Egmore.
