AIADMK’s ‘Namadhu Amma’ attacks BJP again with poem on CMB issue

The scathing poem comes barely a week after the party organ removed two staff in the editorial for allowing an article describing the AIADMK and BJP as double barrel gun. This is the second poem in ‘Namadhu Amma’ attacking the BJP government. The first one supporting the black flag agitations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi was published three weeks ago.

The poem titled ‘Avagasama Avamanama’ (More time or shame) compared the Union government with a woman who is applying butter to one eye and lime to another. It asked if a mother can give food to one child and leave another hungry. “Sweets to one child, poison to another. Affection to one child, hatred to another. Concern for one child, bitterness for another. Will a loving mother show partiality in feeding her children?” the poem asked.

The poem criticised the Union government of keeping votes in mind and keeping the court judgments pending. The Centre is wriggling in shame by seeking more time, it said. It also charged the Union government with destroying the Tamil people’s attachment towards India.
