Modi-led Centre vindictive, alleges Puducherry CM

Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy on Sunday alleged that Narendra Modi-led Centre is misusing the CBI, Income Tax and ED for vindictive politics and predicted that the Congress would win the Karnataka elections.

Addressing a press conference here, the Chief Minister said that Modi government is misusing the agencies. The three independent agencies had become arms of the Centre.  They were functioning as agencies of Modi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had become MBI (Modi Bureau of Investigation), he ridiculed. 

Alleging that the Centre failed in all fronts, he regretted that the Indian economy is in doldrums, foreign investments in the country came down and industries are being closed because of wrong policies of Modi government. He said that the states were opposing the Centre’s proposal of imposing cess on sugar per kilogram.

Condoles death of student’s dad 
Puducherry chief minister V Narayansamy on Sunday condoled the death of Krishnasamy, the father of NEET candidate Kasthuri Mahalingam, who died at Ernakulam in Kerala on Sunday. 
Narayanasamy, in a WhatsApp message, said that Kasthuri Mahalingam along with his father Krishnasawmy had gone to Kerala to write NEET since he was allocated the centre in Kerala. 
Narayansamy said that since the central government had directed Tamil Nadu students to go to other states in the south and North India to write NEET, such incidents are happening and the Centre should come forward to rectify its mistake hereafter. 
After dropping the boy at the exam centre, Krishnasamy had gone to his hotel room to take rest where he died due to heart attack. Mahalingam wrote NEET without knowing the death of his father.
