NEET: TN Medical aspirant's father dies of heart attack in Kerala
Reports received here said Krishnasamy, hailing from Thiruthuraipoondi in Tiruvarur district, was suffering from mental agony, while accompanying his son Kasturi Mahalingam to Kochi for the NEET exam, where he suffered a heart attack.

An year after an aspiring young medico Anitha ended her life unable to secure a medical seat, the NEET claimed yet another life this year when the father of a Tamil Nadu student, who was writing the medical entrance exam at a centre at Kochi in Kerala, died of heart attack on Sunday.
He was rushed to a private hospital in Kochi where he was declared dead later.
His son, who was dropped into the NEET exam centre by the friend of Krishnasamy, broke down to tears as he came to know of his father's death after finishing his exam.
His family members were informed of his death and they were rushing to Kochi to take possession of the body.
The Tiruvarur District Administration has formed a committee to complete the necessary formalities and to get back his body to his native place from Kerala.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami condoled the death of Krishnasamy and announced an assistance of Rs three lakh from the Chief Minister's Public Relief fund.
In a statement here, he said Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Ms Girija Vaidyanathan spoke to her Kerala counterpart and urged Ernakulam District Collector Sabarullah to take steps to bring back the body of Krishnasamy to Tiruvarur.
He also said a team has been deputed to Kochi to bring his body to his native place.
