Tamilisai attacks AIADMK government over poor law and order situation

She said the mob violence against people in Tiruvannamalai and Tiruvallur is a failure of the state government and only showed that the people did not trust the police. “When people are denied justice, they take justice in their hands,” she said.
Commenting on the arrival of people from north India to Tamil Nadu, she said people could go to any place in India and work there, but there should be proper monitoring by the police. The police should keep a track of people coming to Tamil Nadu from north India and maintain data about them. They should know if a person is coming for studies or criminal activities, she said. Tamilisai added that people have lost faith in the working of the police and that was the reason why they want to take the law into their hands.
This is the first criticism by Tamilisai after the AIADMK organ ‘Namadhu Amma Puratchithalaivi’ came out with its third attack on the BJP government in a month, two days ago.
The AIADMK organ described NEET as an agreement which benefits other states and causes loss to Tamil Nadu. It said NEET is an agreement which gives equal share for Tamil Nadu people who contribute paddy and those who come with husk.
Pointing out that the Centre had imposed NEET based on a Supreme Court judgment, the poem said, ‘Only you have the right to disregard the Supreme Court verdict’, in an apparent dig at the Centre’s conduct in the implementation of the same court’s verdict on the Cauvery dispute. On April 4, the party organ came out with a stinging poem accusing the Centre of keeping ‘votes above judgments’ and discriminating against Tamil Nadu.
‘Once BJP forms govt in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu would get Cauvery water’
BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday justified that the Centre took adequate time to draft the scheme on the Cauvery water sharing issue to ensure that peace prevailed among the states that share the river water and assured that the BJP, after forming the government in Karnataka, would release water to Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to media representatives here, Tamilisai said the Centre is keen on finding a permanent solution that helps the farmers relying on the Cauvery water and reiterated that only the BJP can bring people-friendly schemes.
Stating that the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka has failed to release 4 TMC Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu even after the Supreme Court’s order, Tamilisai asked DMK working president M K Stalin why he was hosting an all-party meeting demanding the Cauvery Management Board (CMB), in a veiled dig that the DMK was also an ally of the Congress.
“Stalin could have taken the help of Thirunavukkarasar and Rahul Gandhi to speak to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah instead of hosting an all-party meet,” Tamilisai said.
