Kiran Bedi brings rural departments on single platform
In a bid to work towards holistic rural development, Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on Saturday brought all the Directors of Local Administration, Project DRDA, Block Development officers and Commune Panchayat Commissioners, on a single platform by convening a meeting at the Raj Nivas.

According to a Raj Nivas release, the meeting was arranged to bring about convergence of Local Administration and Rural Development and work together for the prosperity of Rural Puducherry.
The Commune Commissioners were given a brief presentation on the various schemes, the components and functions and were asked to become well aware of the schemes implemented under Rural Development and Panchayat. The second convergence meeting will be held on June 16. Meanwhile, the Lt Governor, as part of her weekend round, visited Bahour village to transform the village into smart village.
