BSF personnel shoots at wife, kills self
A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel who was at home on a holiday shot his wife with his revolver and killed himself after a family dispute here on Saturday. The woman suffered injuries in her neck and is battling for life at the General Hospital.

N Rajani Kumari from Nalanda in Bihar has been working as a Railway traffic guard and moved to Tiruchy two months ago with her seven year old daughter at Subbarayilu veedhi in Kallikuzhi here for the last two months.
On Saturday, Rajani Kumari’s husband B Ranjith Kumar who has been serving in the Border Security Force came on leave. The couple, reportedly, had a quarrel in the evening and an enraged Ranjith Kumar took his revolver and shot at Rajani Kumari and then shot himself dead.
Rajani Kumari was lying in the pool of blood oozing out of her wound. On hearing gunshots, the neighbours reached the spot and rescued Rajani Kumari and rushed her to the hospital where she has been undergoing treatment.
After being informed the Cantonment police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body of Ranjith Kumar and sent it to the GH for post mortem. Further investigations are still on.
