Fearing results, Class 12 boy jumps off bridge
An 18-year-old Class 12 student jumped off a flyover fearing that he might not pass in the CBSE board examinations, the results of which were expected to be released on Saturday.

Police said that Sam Pradeep, son of Gandi Ruban, a central government employee, was a student of a CBSE school in Ranipet.
The boy rode a two-wheeler to the middle of the flyover, in front of the collector’s office, slit his wrist and jumped off the flyover. He was rushed to the Vellore government hospital from where he was shifted to the CMC Hospital. The police have registered a case and are investigating further.
