OPS’s son named Theni district Amma Peravai secretary

South Chennai MP and son of Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar was nominated as the joint secretary of the Peravai, Panneerselvam and joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami said in a statement here. 

A notable nomination to the same post of joint secretary is KAK Mugil, son of former minister KA Krishnaswamy, a key minister in the cabinet of AIADMK founder MGR. He is the third-generation leader from the family of KA Mathiyazhagan, a close associate of DMK founder CN Annadurai.

The other joint secretaries of Amma Peravai are N Sadhan Prabhakar, Sevvail M Sampathkumar and M Ilangovan. The party also appointed D Ramesh, CB Muvendhan, K Balakumar, P Vetrivel and E Rajasekhar as deputy secretaries. Party MLA SS Saravanan will be the district secretary for Madurai, the party release said. Besides, TT Krishnan (Tiruchy), Udhayam Ramesh (Perambalur) and S Ramesh (Vellore) would be the district secretaries of the Peravai in their districts.
