Answer scripts not evaluated, complain Class 12 students

Two Class 12 students who recently graduated from school in Tiruchy filed a complaint with the Chief Education Officer (CEO) here on Saturday as a number of papers on their answer sheets were left unevaluated. Though the last date to apply for re-evaluation was June 6, officials said they will appeal to the Directorate of Examinations in Chennai.

According to D Divya (17), from Tiruverumbur, said that she had scored only 124 in Accountancy. Refusing to believe her unnaturally low scores, she downloaded her answer sheet from the Directorate website on Friday and found that six pages were left uncorrected.

“I had expected better marks in the subject as I was confident I had performed well. Looking at my marks, I knew something was amiss and sourced my papers. I would have scored over 180 if the papers were corrected properly,” she said.

Likewise, A Harshini, from another school who sourced her Mathematics paper, said one of the six-mark questions for which she had answered correctly, had been left unevaluated.

“I scored 187 in the subject and if the six-mark question had been evaluated, my total would have increased and I could have qualified for the engineering cut off,” she said.
