Call to extend time for online applications
Pointing out several difficulties in applying online for engineering and medical courses, Puducherry BJP unit president Saminathan on Monday urged the administration either to extend the time for submitting application or to scrap online application for this year too.

He said the administration has introduced online admission for all courses this year. However, the difficulties should also be considered, he said adding that initially it was stated that only the mark list of Classes 10 and 12 required for applying to these courses.
But later it was changed and announced that the registration numbers of the candidates also should be there.
“The candidates who applied at the initial stage did not register their registration number. Further, Puducherry students are not familiar with online application or counselling and the government failed to provide them proper training and several parents are complaining,” he said.
