The state government is being propped up by the Central government. The Centre has RAW and intelligence agencies like the IB, he pointed out and said the state government should be dismissed if the allegations are true. Speaking to the media, he also recalled that the DMK government was dismissed in 1991 on charges of allowing terrorist activities in the state.

If the state failed to stop terrorist activities, it should be dismissed. The presence of terrorists would mean that there would be no protection for the people, Dhinakaran added. Instead of talking in state, he should speak to the Centre and bring President’s rule in TN, he said.

Denying the charges, Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar hit back at the Union Minister and said a responsible minister in the Centre should not speak about terrorist activities in public. “If a Union Minister received such information, he should convey them to f the state government and ask it to take action. When the Minister takes oath, he swears that he will not disclose secret information to the public,” he pointed out.

If Radhakrishna had information about terrorist activities, he should convey them to the state and speaking about it outside amounted to violation of the Constitution, he said.

However, the Union Minister reiterated his charges again and asserted that he had the right to convey them in public. Speaking at Nagercoil, he said, “I do not need anyone’s permission to speak about terrorist activities. If the state requested for help, the Centre would provide the necessary assistance to curb terrorist activities,” he added.

Two days ago, the Union Minister had warned the state government against growing activities of terrorists in Tamil Nadu and said a government which protects terrorists need not remain in power. He charged that terrorists are holding training camps and operating in forests and mountains and they had infiltrated into various fields of the society.

He added that they had planned to create chaos in the state. He said TN would turn into a region of riots and terrorists would take over power if no action was taken, he warned.
