Time for people to dislodge EPS, Modi governments, says Stalin

Inaugurating the CPI’s fast agitation against the state and Union governments for suppressing democratic rights here on Thursday, he said he has informed in the Assembly itself that they are not against the construction of Chennai-Salem Greenfield Expressway.

But, he suggested that before constructing the expressway, they should take opinion of the farmers and all stakeholders involved in the project.

He refuted Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s statement in Salem airport that all the farmers are welcoming the expressway project and only a few opposition leaders are objecting to the project for gaining political mileage.
