Sudhakar said that the news doing the rounds on social media of a three day meet from July 18 to July 21 was false. He added that the Mandram will continue recruitment and interviews for various positions in the organisation but there are no plans for a meeting. They have also downplayed the talk that there are one crore members registered to the RMM and stated that they would release the official details soon and aim to be completely transparent.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has left for Dehradun for the second schedule of shooting for his upcoming movie directed by Karthik Subbaraj. During his brief break between the shoots the actor had expressed his views on various issues that are ongoing in the state.
The actor-turned-politician extended support for the Chennai-Salem Eight lane Expressway with the caveat that the displaced people must be adequately compensated. He also spoke in favour of holding simultaneous elections for the Centre and states.
Rajinikanth declared his intention to enter politics on December 31 last year. Since his announcement, the fan clubs of Rajinikanth across the state have been organised under a nodal body, the Rajini Makkal Mandram.  Over the past months, the recruitment of members and appointment of office-bearers have been completed.
