CPI leader D Pandian hospitalised
Senior CPI leader D Pandian was rushed to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital on Saturday after he developed breathing problem earlier in the day.

Pandian, aged 85, had been suffering from breathing trouble since last year and on Saturday morning too he developed a breathing problem.
Immediately, he was rushed to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital where his condition stabilised. Doctors are monitoring him round the clock.
In the recent months Pandian’s health condition deteriorated and even when he came to see the ailing DMK president M Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram house he was seen with Intra Venous (IV) tube in his hand.
PR Pandian, president, Tamil Nadu All Farmers Federation, who went to see the CPI leader at the hospital, told DT Next, that Pandian did not undergo regular dialysis. After he was admitted, dialysis was done and following that his condition improved.
“He is fine and will return to active politics soon,” he added.
