Pandian, a former MP, suffered breathing problem on Saturday morning and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Sources informed that as Pandian missed the dialysis cycle he had experienced breathing problem but as soon he was rushed to the hospital dialysis was done and his condition returned to normalcy.

On Sunday, Vijaya Baskar went to the hospital and inquired Pandian about his health condition. He also inquired the doctors about the treatment given to Pandian and then while addressing the media he said that Pandian is suffering from chronic renal disease, but he was undergoing treatment for the disease.

Doctors are monitoring him round the clock and as his health condition improves, he will be discharged in two days.

Last year too Pandian was admitted for breathlessness in the same government hospital and was treated well, said Vijaya Baskar.

Stalin, along with former Minister Ponmudi and DMK MLA Sekar Babu, visited the hospital and inquired the health condition of Pandian. Stalin had wished Pandian a speedy recovery during the visit. It may be recalled that Pandian called on the ailing DMK patriarch at his Gopalapuram residence on last Friday.
