In a statement, Stalin said that the news of death of 324 people in Kerala flood and the extensive damage caused to the properties had startled him. Kerala government is doing its best to rescue people but, however, the help promised by the Union government had not reached Kerala.
The current situation in Kerala is disastrous and the Centre should help cutting across
party lines.
“When people of a state are struggling in agony it is the duty of the neighbouring states to extend helping hand. Tamils have the nature to help people in distress and so the state government should extend succour monetarily as well as in administrative matters,” said Stalin.
He also asked the DMK cadre to involve themselves in the rescue and relief measures.
