Idol smuggler on the run for 3 years held

According to sources, around nine bronze idols were stolen from different temples and smuggled in 2015. Dhanalingam, a resident of Mambalam, Chennai, was caught with the idols on May 14, 2015 while he was taking them in a two-wheeler. As many as 15 persons were booked in the case and 13 of them were already arrested. 

Meanwhile, S Mustafa (37) of Arcot Salai, Pari Nagar in Cheyyar was arrested on Monday. He was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate court in Kumbakonam on Tuesday.
