No grace marks for students who appeared for NEET in Tamil: SC
The CBSE claimed that the Tamil translators, who were recommended by the state government caused the errors in Tamil question papers of the medical entrance examination.

The Supreme Court on Thursday announced that the students who opted to take the Tamil question papers for NEET examination will not be given grace marks.
The Madurai bench of Madras High Court had on July 10 ordered the CBSE to provide 196 grace marks for students who appeared for NEET examinations in Tamil following reports on incorrect translations from English to Tamil in the question papers.
After the CBSE filed petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Madras High court's order, the Supreme Court stated that measures will be taken to make sure that such errors don't happen again.
The CBSE challenged the Madras High Court's order by claiming that the Tamil translators, who were recommended by the state government caused the errors in Tamil question papers of the medical entrance examination.
The HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar had recently announced that the Newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA) would- now conduct the national- level examinations -- NET, NEET, JEE (Mains) -- that were earlier organised by the CBSE.
National Eligibility Test (NET) would be conducted in December and JEE (Mains) twice a year, in January and April. NEET would be conducted in February and May, the minister said.
