19-year-old arrested for impregnating Class 10 girl

The student, who was arrested, was a resident of Mayiladuthurai. He reportedly had an affair with the victim, who was his neighbour and a Class 10 student.

A few days ago, the girl developed stomach pain, which did not subsidise even after medication.

Thereafter, she was taken to a doctor, who afer checking the girl confirmed that she was pregnant. 

When parents confronted, the girl revealed the name of the student, who impregnated her. A case was registered under the POCSO act and the student was arrested and lodged in Nagapattinam sub-jail.
