“The judgment is yet to be delivered, and the case is sub judice. I should not comment on the judgment but let me make sure one thing that AIADMK is ready to face any situation,” said Thambidurai.
He also said that people have elected the government. “According to the vision of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, our party would continue to rule for another 100 years in the State,” said Thambidurai. “Wherever I go, I see people turning up in large numbers and support the party. I see no reason why the state government is in trouble in the 18 MLAs’ disqualification case,” said Thambidurai.
Addressing the party supporters in Malvarpatti village near Vedasandur, Thambidurai said that the present price hike in fuel was due to the wrong economic policy followed by the central government. “The ruling BJP government is following a similar economic policy like the previous Congress government because of which there is a massive hike in price of fuel and essential commodities,” said Thambidurai.
He also opposed the idea of the central government to bring fuel under the ambit of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and said that if fuel is brought under GST regime, the resources of the State government would be limited.
