Jaya death probe panel summons 25 people

With just over a month left for the tenure of the Justice A Arumughasamy enquiry commission, probing the death of former CM Jayalalithaa, to end, the officials have amped up the enquiry process at Kalas Mahal here.

The one-man commission has sent summons to around 25 people to appear for cross-examination by Jayalalithaa’s former aide VK Sasikala’s counsel Raja Senthoor Pandian in the coming week. The individuals summoned include doctors and nurses from Apollo hospitals who cared for the former Chief Minister during her treatment, and others such as bank managers at branches where Jayalalithaa maintained her accounts.

Those summoned have been asked to appear before the commission on September 24, 25, 26 and 27. Some of those summoned include Apollo doctors Subramanian, Archana, Nalini, Sneha Shri and nurses Prema Antony, Vijayalakshmi and Helena.
