DRO P Rathinasamy chaired another grievance meeting in Cheyyar and received 133 petitions. All the petitions were directed to the concerned departments with an instruction to take a decision on them expeditiously.

Kandasamy acted immediately on a petition submitted by Kil Pennathur panchayat union assistant G Dhanajayan. He was transferred to the Thandarampattu panchayat union based on his wishes as there was a vacancy there.

The meeting comes in the wake of more than 1,000 government officials besieging the Collector’s office a few months ago, protesting Kandasamy’s style of functioning. One person was injured when the police attempted to prevent them from entering the premises. Kandasamy recently organised a lunch for government officials at the Collectorate.
