Krishnasamy announced a slew of protests demanding immediate removal of Devendrakula Velalars from the SC list at the party’s first state youth-wing conference held in Tiruchy on Saturday.
The meeting also resolved to protest against the British government for their “fault” of categorising the community as the schedule caste.
“It was fault on the part of Britishers to include Devendrakula Velalars in the SC list because of which the community has undergone a setback. In order to point their mistake and demanding compensation from them, it is decided to march towards the British Deputy High Commission in Chennai and hold demonstration on November 15,” the resolution read.
They demanded to categorise them into Most Backward Class (MBC).
Krishnasamy also announced that the party would be holding road blockades across the state on January 6, 2019.
