Beating of Kashmiri prisoners: CBI files case against Tamil Nadu police

After the prison authorities submitted a detailed report to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in the case relating to the beating of 18 Kashmiri prisioners, the CBI has filed a case against Tamil Nadu police.
At least 18 prisoners were allegedly beaten by the jail staff on the intervening night of 21st-22nd November. About 52 Tamil Nadu cops, including sub-inspector Muthupandi were named in the complaint filed by the CBI.
According reports, three other prisoners , accused in ISIS terror case, could have led the scuffle, which later would have gone out of hand. The trio were in the same prison cell as Kashmir inmates.
Earlier on 23rd November, a committee of 3 members which inspected the prison submitted a report to the court.
