Minister mocks Kamal’s party, lauds Rajini’s views
Actor-turned-politican Kamal Haasan cannot even win a councillor seat in local body elections, said Dairy Development Minister K T Rajenthra Bhalaji on Tuesday. Calling his party (Makkal Nidhi Maiam) as an ‘Sappani Kuzhandhai’ (inactive child), the Minister said it should be dissolved at its nascent stage itself.

“If the child grows up, Tamil Nadu and people living in the State would be in danger,” Bhalaji told reporters in Nagercoil.
Viewing fellow actor Rajinikanth and former Chief Minister and AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran positively, he said MGR mingled with people and rose to the standard of living in a palatial building but on the contrary, Kamal would look down on people from a palace.
Criticising the Thevar Magan actor, the Minister said he was playing a drama as if he was a saviour of TN people. “Such drama would not be suitable for political election. When it comes to election, the battle is between AIADMK and DMK,” he said.
Minister for Information and Publicity Kadambur C Raju, after paying tributes to the legendary freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman at Kayathar, said, “Only the AIADMK and DMK, have been in the political arena for a long time. When Vijayakanth and Vaiko launched their parties, they claimed that their parties were the alternative to us. But, situations prompted these parties to form alliance with the AIADMK.”
