Farmers from all over India are expected to participate in the congregation seeking the waiver of agriculture loans.

Earlier, Kamal discussed in detail various issues faced by farmers with the visiting delegation.

“I am a person who has realised the pain behind the tears of farmers. I wear the green shawl in my heart,” he said.

Kamal assured them that his party would work towards fulfilling their demands, such as compensation for crop damage, immediate release of arrears owed to sugarcane farmers and the waiver of farm loans.

“Farmers have no caste; their only religion is farming. I am happy to be a part of your family,” Kamal said, adding that his party would organise a grand public meeting for the farmers of Tamil Nadu in December.
