South Tamil Nadu to receive heavy rain in next 24 hrs
Isolated places in Tamil Nadu's southern districts will receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours due to a low pressure over central parts of Andaman Sea that is likely to develop into a cyclone, the regional meteorological department on Friday said.

However, Chennai along with other northern districts are unlikely to be affected by the phenomenon.
In a release, the weather department said the low pressure area over Gulf of Thailand and adjoining Malay peninsula now lies over central parts of Andaman sea and neighborhood with an associated cyclonic circulation.
"It is very likely to become more marked during next 24 hours, move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression during subsequent 24 hours and cyclone thereafter," it said.
Southern districts that is likely to receive heavy rainfall include Thoothukudi, Tiruchendur, among others.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea over Andaman Sea on November 9, Southeast and adjoining East-Central Bay of Bengal the next day.
The north east monsoon set in over parts of South India on November 1.
