App for Arunachaleswarar temple festival launched

To keep devotees informed of the various facilities available for the Deepam festival, HR and CE minister Sevoor S Ramachandran launched an app- “Hello Tiruvannamalai” – during an event held in the town on Thursday. Anticipating nearly 25 lakh devotees, a host of facilities have been planned and they were being constantly upgraded, the minister informed the gathering.

Instead of the planned 10 health camps, 13 medical camps, along with three mobile teams, 15 ambulances and three two-wheeler ambulances would be available, he said. 

A total of 8971 policemen, 410 fire services personnel and 27 fire tenders would be stationed at strategic points around the town, he added. Arrangements have been made for 4000 and 6000 devotees to witness Barani and Maha Deepams respectively. A souvenir for the occasion and was released by the minister.
